The Central Asia-China gas pipeline delivered 34.1 billion cubic meters of gas to China last year.
Information from the Khorgos Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau shows that 34.17 billion cubic meters of natural gas were imported from the Central Asia-China gas pipeline last year, with an average daily import volume of 93.6 million cubic meters, representing a year-on-year increase of more than 10 percent.
The head of the Khorgos Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau stated that the Central Asia-China gas pipeline has been operating steadily for seven years since its commissioning in 2009. To ensure the smooth operation of the pipeline, the bureau has implemented a green channel model for imported pipeline natural gas, utilizing a remote electronic monitoring system for on-site supervision to ensure the smooth flow of high-quality energy into China, thereby better serving the construction of the national energy channel.
The Central Asia-China gas pipeline originates from the border between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, traversing central Uzbekistan and southern Kazakhstan, and entering China through the Khorgos port in Xinjiang. Currently, it has achieved parallel operation of three lines (A, B, and C). After entering China, it connects to the domestic West-East Gas Pipeline lines II and III, ensuring the supply of fuel for the daily life of 400 million people along the pipeline.
