Recently, viewers reported to reporters that their old residential area was supposed to be connected to natural gas, but the installation was delayed at the final stage. The reason was that one resident demanded a transfer fee from the natural gas company. So what is the situation?

On January 11th, reporters came to the Supply and Marketing Cooperative Family Courtyard in Gaoling District, Xi'an City. The natural gas company's construction personnel were still working hard. The gas supply was supposed to start in December last year, but the community still cannot receive gas. The reporter found Master Chang, the resident who disagreed with the gas supply. Master Chang told the reporter that he disagreed with the gas supply because the natural gas company damaged the exterior wall of his house.

Master Chang, the resident involved: "It was installed here, but after problems occurred, it was moved there. Count the holes; there are definitely too many holes. It has caused some damage to my personal interests."

Regarding how to solve this matter, Master Chang frankly stated that he must be compensated before allowing the natural gas company to supply gas.

Master Chang, the resident involved: "Around 6,000 yuan."

Residents had been looking forward to gas supply, but after this incident, some residents discussed having all 60 households in the community share the cost, 100 yuan per household. Master Xing, who is in charge of the negotiation, said that some residents still cannot accept this approach.

The staff told the reporter that the Supply and Marketing Cooperative Family Courtyard is an old community, and the natural gas pipeline must be connected to the exterior wall. The owner is the owner of the property. If any owner disagrees with the construction, they are helpless.

Yang Kang, assistant manager of Xi'an Gaoling District Yuxiang Natural Gas Company: "The exterior wall is the owner's private property, so we cannot forcibly carry out construction on their private property, which has caused the gas connection work to be stalled."

The natural gas company believes that it cannot bear this cost, and the owners also believe that they cannot bear this cost, so the matter has reached an impasse. The staff told the reporter that they can only resolve this through negotiation.
